In this video Conversation, Joel Hunter notes the inherent strengths of both Calvinist and Wesleyan faith traditions. In fact, he points out that what are often cast as “competing” approaches really are complementary rather than at odds with one another. As we listen to different perspectives we become not just stronger, but more accurate in our understanding of the world around us
Bruce McCormack speaks mostly about Karl Barth and his view of gracious election. He does dabble with some of the divide between Calvinist & Arminian theologies. A good conversation to have for those of the mainline and evangelical churches. The audio isn’t the best, but is valuable talk.
Subtitled “Musings on a Possible Way to Move Beyond the Calvinist/Arminian Divide”
Given on 2/25/2012 at the Rethinking Arminius Conference held at Point Loma Nazarene University.
