Geoffrey Wainwright is a respected Wesleyan theologian and educator. This is his retirement lecture from Duke Divinity School. Many of the academic talks like to give an introduction. This one is especially long as they read off letters and give accolades to before his retirement lecture. Skip to 18:40 to get to beginning of his talk. Might just be his English accent, but I find Professor Wainwright to be quite entertaining in lecture.
Geoffrey Wainwright, the Robert Earl Cushman Professor of Christian Theology, presented his retirement lecture after teaching at Duke Divinity School since 1983. The public lecture, “Divine Disproportion & Poetic Paradoxes: Charles Wesley at Chalcedon: the Retirement Lecture of Professor Geoffrey Wainwright,” was held in Goodson Chapel.
